Brand 2 Team - Kim Mi-na

 

1. Introduction to Duties

 

I’m a member of Brand 2 Team that mostly works on brand licensing of hardware products such as small generators and tools. Currently, I’m in charge of the Americas region.

The term ‘brand licensing’ may seem a bit unfamiliar, but our company grants overseas customers the trademark “Hyundai” and in return, we are generating royalty revenues. It is an attractive field to experience various projects such as business collaboration with OEM manufacturers, participation in domestic and overseas exhibitions, marketing activities as well as discovering customers, since it supports the whole business from sourcing of products to sales and marketing and not just leasing the brand.

 

2. Conditions and competencies necessary for business performance

 

I think one should have attachment to one’s own duty. If you are attached to your work and always keep in mind, you will gain a broad perspective and rich knowledge, and you will have a sense of responsibility to do your job diligently. I always try to make everything from my life to my own, with my self-esteem and attachment, and when I find my product, I naturally think about design, brand and country of origin. If you constantly build up your knowledge and experience based on your attachment, I think you will be able to improve your perspective and insight into your business as a whole.

 

 

3. Pride of Company

 

I think one of the biggest advantages of our company is ‘flexibility’. Before joining the company, I was worried about rigid company life, thinking “Maybe I should work like a small part of a big machine”, but our company proved it wrong. This organization offered so many opportunities even to young employees so that they can navigate all around the world or bring a project to success by making good opinions. Because it is a flexible organization that allows everyone to make opportunities if they want to and listens to voices, I would make contributions to the development of the company by making opinions.

 

4. Advice to applicants to recruitment

 

I want to advise you to have a special talent that no one else can do.

Having language skills, writing skills, communication skills and even greeting well with each other can be helpful in your company life. I think you will get more opportunities and become a recognized talent in the company if you make a clear distinction from others. I’m also distressed to create my own signature.
